Since its launch in 2022 at the House of Lords, this initiative has grown into a powerful cultural and economic bridge, connecting the United Kingdom with over 25 Kiswahili-speaking nations across Africa and the global diaspora.

At the heart of the week was the International Expo London — SOKONI, a dynamic trade and investment platform connecting diaspora capital, institutions, and industry leaders with tangible commercial opportunities between the UK and Swahili-speaking Africa.

The celebrations culminated in the prestigious Sema Jambo Awards Gala Evening, recognizing excellence, leadership, and impact across business, culture, and community development.
